While things are rapidly (and thankfully) changing, when I began my natural hair journey (Fall 2009) the market for natural hair products left a lot to be desired. Products were often poor quality, excessively priced and hard to find. Rather than accept the mediocre, I decided to create the best!

How should I use it?
Quench is great for use on wet or dry hair. Use it similar to how you used to use hair grease.
On wet/freshly washed hair: Part hair and apply Quench to scalp section by section. Rub some between your hands and then rub over your hair to finish.
Styling: Quench is GREAT for twisting and braiding wet/moist hair. You'll love the shine and definition it gives.
On dry hair: Rub a dollop of Quench over your hair to add shine and manageability. It's also a great way to feed your hair each day!

Day-to-day use: While Quench will keep your hair moist for several days at a time, you can apply more anytime you see fit. If you have areas where your hair is thin or balding, you may want to rub a bit of Quench into these areas daily to encourage thickening/growth.

Storage, Maintenance, Shelf-Life
Keep Quench stored in a cool, dry location.
In case of melting, simply refrigerate Quench until consistency is reformed.
In case of settling, simply take a fork or small hand whisk to re-whip Quench back into a souffle!
Made of mostly natural butter and oils, Quench can be stored for at least a year.

I received my Quench last week and I couldn't wait to try it! I've been using it for six days and I LOVE IT! I've been natural for several years wearing my hair in a very very short cut, however I recently decided to let my hair grow and the game changed! While I've always been a product junkie nothing seemed to work great and consistently on my hair, therefore I was always on the hunt for the perfect product! ReplyDeleteI was very excited to receive my Quench. Even more pleased when I opened the container!!! To my surprise, not being funny, the product looked exactly like the pic/vid of her mixing~~~Very Soft & Light!!!! I say that because most products, as we know, do not look like the picture.

I was excited beyond belief to get my quench. I have been wanting to try this for so long but the money was not right? lol So i finally got it yesterday 03/12 and I immediately rinsed my tresses cause I had worked out earlier and used the Quench. O M G need I say anymore. I felt it working into my scalp then I used it on my hair from root to tip and my hair felt amazing. I chunkied twisted my hair afterwards. I took them out this morning and can I say soft as he$$. Oh my goodness. This is the moisturizer that I have been waiting for. Thanks so much. ReplyDeleteWhat can I say about Quench? Is is probably the BEST product I've tried since going natural. My hair has never been more moisturized and soft since using this product. It has a very pleasant scent and what I probably love most about it is that you can actually feel it working on your scalp. I love using this product on wash day in particular. When my hair dries, it is unbelievably soft and has a beautiful sheen to it. No doubt, Quench has become a staple product for me!

ReplyDeleteAttention Quenches and Potential Quenches: I got my first jar of Quench on friday did a twist out on wet hair with it with a lil bit of eco style gel...results: Fabulous! My hair is well moisturized not weighed down at all! the peppermint oil is such great touch to this light and fluffy soufflé. Made my scalp feel refreshed and extra clean! Thus by far is one of my favorite products. Quench is the Truth! Kim is the truth! ( No I am not a paid actor but if Kim wants to pay me she can pay me in Quench) lmbo great Job

Kimberly and J2MR you definitely have a real winner here.All I did was put some water on my hair since you can use it on wet and dry hair and put it through my scalp. I'm just starting to grow my hair out so the moisture helps so much. It should be a staple in your bathroom next to your toothbrush and toothpaste (hopefully they are a part of your routine, pause). Did I mention how much I love quench cuz I do.

I haven't been using Quench very long yet... However I'm already totally in love. The SMELL is my FAVORITE thing about it. And it actually makes my hair SHINY and feel soft. I NEVER love my twist outs the day after a wash... UNTIL I used Quench. I can't see myself going back to the more expensive butter that I was using before. It's economical, the J2MR service is IMPECCABLE, the proprieter is PROFESSIONAL, and the product is AMAZING... Also, not to brag, but I just got 3 compliments on my hair today and I'm wearing the SAME STYLE I wore yesterday... The difference is QUENCH!!! Trust me, you want to get some!
ReplyDeleteOk, I've been using Quench for a little over 2 weeks and I am in love with it...lol it really keeps my hair moisturized. I tend to keep my hair in protective styles and find that using Quench my twists look nicer longer. You have an amazing product!

ReplyDeleteI have been using Quench for two weeks now. I must say I have found a staple product! I apply Quench to the length of my hair and detangling is a breeze. Once applied, the comb and/or my fingers flow effortlessly through my hair. Will be repurchasing soon!
ReplyDeleteI've been using Quench for just about a week and it is definitely going on my shelf with my faves! I LOVE the way it make my hair feel, smell and shine. Detangling has been a non-issue and my hair is retaining moisture like crazy. Twist outs, braids, it all looks FABULOUS. How a package is delivered is a big part of what I look for. I'm loving the way my package for the free, trial size container that I won arrived. It was packaged with such care and thought. I can honestly say the proprieter is professional and not only cares about her hair, but mine as well. I'm a Quench, and after you try this product, you will be too!
ReplyDeleteWell, I ordered my Quench I think almost a month ago. Everyone in my home uses it. My oldest daughter who has eczema uses it the most. I noticed she is getting the most benefit from it. She isn't scratching as much any more. Yay!! All of us have noticed out comb through is so much easier. Even my baby boy is allowing me to comb his curls now. I wish I has ordered this before we cut his hair off, oh well. Over all, we are just plain happy with this product. My husband is using it too! Hopefully, this will help his hair grow back. Got my fingers crossed!!!

DeleteThis stuff is truly amazing as I received mine over a month ago. When I got it, I opened it up immediately to put on my scalp and all over my hair. This stuff has my hair looking fierce where people are asking me what am I using and I tell them Quench. I can not wait to send pics of differences as I got my hair cut recently but I can tell that is growing back. I will be ordering again and again and will constantly recommend Quench to anyone.

You can double check with your pediatrician but I say yes. 1. There isn't that much minoxidil in the product and 2. I've used in on my son and my 1 year old niece with no problem. Someone asked this question the other day in the J2MR group and about 5 or 6 folks chimed in saying they have also used it on their kids with great results. I just wouldn't use it on a child under the age of 1. :)

DeleteSoooooo I got my quench about a week ago and baby let me tell you it is time to get some more because I cant stop using it. It is the best thing that has happened to my hair since plain H2O. Kimberley you are a mere genius. The back of my hair has been soooo nappy I don't even wanna comb it but due to quench its soft and manageable. I have been waiting for something like this forever and glad I got it. Now instead of being frustrated about dry and brittle hair, I'm glad to be natural. Also it smells and feels fabolous on my hair

ReplyDeleteYes ma'am! Quench works great on natural hair, relaxed hair, loc'd hair, and even hair that is under a wig, weave, braids. While being a great moisturizer, it's not heavy. It won't weigh your relaxed hair down at all! There are several reviews from relaxed customers in the review album. Check it out! Thanks!

DeleteHello I purchase my quench about a month or two ago and I love it. I use it on me my 3 year old daughter and my husband hair. I love the smell and the tingly feeling when I put in on my scalp. It leaves my hair shiny and soft and managable. I have not did a length check just yet but will definetly give an update at my 6 month review, thanks Kimberly!
